820 million rubles for the forest management

8 October saw the start of the XV St. Petersburg international forestry forum. The head of the Federal forestry Agency Vladimir Lebedev, speaking at the forum, said that in 2014 from the Federal budget to the subjects of the Russian Federation will receive about 820 million rubles for the forest management activities.

As Lebedev said: "compared with the past year this year the funding for forest management has increased more than 2.5 times. In 2013 the allocated funds to conduct forest management activities in the amount of more than 780 million rubles".

The head of the Federal forestry Agency also noted that among other measures to support the forest industry needed to develop the market of utilizing low-grade wood.
