FESCO increases transportation of timber products between Russia and Asia: 16% growth in 9 months
The FESCO Transport Group, part of Rosatom's management chain, increased the volume of container traffic between the ports of China, India and St. Petersburg by 16% in January-September 2025. The total volume of shipments reached 62 thousand TEU. Key indicators The structure of cargo flows for the reporting period:
A significant share in exports is occupied by the products of LPC and CBK of the North-West of Russia. Development of logistics routes The FESCO Baltorient Line (FBOL) service operates regular flights every two weeks using 6 container ships with a capacity of 2,471 TEU each. Since May 2025, the possibility of direct calls to the port of Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) has been added. Expert assessment Cargo flow towards Russia is formed mainly due to a wide range of consumer and industrial goods from China and India. A significant share of export shipments is occupied by products of the timber industry and the pulp and paper mill of the North-West of Russia, as well as construction materials, agricultural products and industrial goods.
