Toscotec strengthens its position in the Middle East by launching the flagship PM5 line in Saudi Arabia
International engineering company Toscotec has successfully commissioned the PM5 high-speed fabric line for Saudi Paper Group (SPG) in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This strategic turnkey project highlights the growing demand for advanced, energy-efficient technologies in the region's pulp and paper industry. The basis for the solution The launch of the PM5 line, following the delivery of the AHEAD 2.2S line in 2022, confirms the long-term partnership and trust between the companies. The decision to cooperate was based on the successful experience of implementing previous comprehensive projects. Key features and technologies The new AHEAD 2.2L line, with a web width of 5,600 mm and a capacity of over 60,000 tons per year, is equipped with a number of innovations: • New generation TT NextPress press for high energy efficiency • TT SYD steel drying cylinder with improved design • Highly efficient TT Hood Drying Hood System • Complete TT Brain Automation System (DCS) These solutions ensure maximum production flexibility (napkins, towels, toilet paper) and compliance with international standards of sustainable development.
