Norway is the world's longest wooden staircase.

In the early twentieth century was built a hydroelectric power plant which required water, which was delivered by two pipes laid on the slope. For their service, I built a staircase. The length of the ladder is 1600 meters, and the elevation of 740 meters. The ladder consists of exactly 4444 steps and it is considered the longest wooden staircase in the world.
