Silvicultural 2014 season is open in most parts of the country.

Mikhail Doronin – head of lesovosstanovlenija and reforestation of the Federal forestry Agency, said on a conference call on 8 April, in the Central, North-Western, southern, North Caucasian and Siberian Federal districts have already begun work on creation of forest cultures.

"Currently, the regeneration is performed on an area of over 5,000 hectares, including artificial — on the area of 4 700 ha. According to 5 April 2013, the figure was 900 hectares, that is, the rate this year is better, so spring is much earlier," — said Doronin.

In total, in 2014 the reforestation planned for the area 841 thousand hectares, including artificial — on the area of almost 180 hectares and combined with 13 thousand hectares.
