In Khabarovsk started the key events of the FIC of the Far East

April 17, 2014 in Khabarovsk opening ceremony of the VIII International specialized exhibition TEKHNODREV the far East and the far East International Forestry Congress. From 17 to 20 April 2014, more than 80 companies from Russia, Austria, Japan, Germany, China, Finland, will present to the visitors of TEKHNODREV the far East machinery, equipment, machines and tools for woodworking, logging, sawmilling, furniture production, bioenergy, wood construction. Exhibition the exhibition is located at two sites: an extensive exhibition in the exhibition hall of the Manege and outdoor street venue, which will be demonstrated in the action of various machinery: machine tools, saws, hand tools.

Simultaneously with the exhibition TEKHNODREV the far East, 17 April 2014 in Khabarovsk hosted the opening of the far East International Forestry Congress "forestry development Strategy of the Far East", which aims to be one of the biggest communication platforms of the forestry complex of the Far East. Active support in holding of the Congress is provided by the Ministry of natural resources and environment of the Russian Federation, Federal Agency of forestry (Rosleskhoz) of the Russian Federation, the world wildlife Fund (WWF) Russia and the far Eastern chamber of Commerce and industry. The First day of the Congress has adopted more than 80 enterprises of timber industry of Khabarovsky and Primorsky krais, the Republic of Sakha, the Magadan, Amur, Sakhalin and Jewish Autonomous regions and in other regions.

The Second day of the Congress on April 18, 2014 in Khabarovsk opens the Round table "Sustainable forest management. Reforestation, regional variations in forest management". A separate set of issues concerns the problem of forest fires: prevention, detection and control.

Another important direction of development of the Russian forest sector is the computerisation of forest management and forest industry. Round table "Automated information systems as an integral element of modern forestry", organized jointly with WWF Russia, will present for discussion specialists such topics as: a single GIS Portal – the merging of existing forestry information systems; integration of GIS and database for visualization of forest management activities. In addition, issues such as: operational space monitoring of illegal logging, fires and forest pest monitoring; records of changes in the forest Fund; continuous forest inventory; accounting and turnover of round timber; automatic SFR, GIL; USAIS on account of roundwood and monitoring of Russian forests: current condition, problems and prospects.

Completes the program of the Congress Round table "the law on the regulation of the round timber turnover. Forest policy and certification", which will present for discussion to specialists of the timber industry a number of topical issues on trade in forest products and forest certification.
