On 24 April, the Russian government was not supported by the draft Federal law, which suggested tougher penalties for the illegal felling of forest plantations, but rather proposed increasing the maximum term of imprisonment of up to 10 years ( now 6 years) and a ban to occupy certain positions or to conduct certain activities with three to ten years.
