JSC "Vyshnevolotsky forestry enterprise"
Company information:
Currently, JSC Vyshnevolotsky Forestry Enterprise is the leading logging company in the Vyshnevolotsky district of the Tver region. The company leases part of the forest lands of the Vyshnevolotsky district, which allows for the annual harvesting of about 200 thousand cubic meters of wood.
In 2004, in order to improve the working conditions of workers at the logging site, increase the productivity of logging operations, and reduce the number of workers engaged in harsh working conditions, the company acquired a logging complex based on the Timberjac 1270 B felling and sawing machine (harvester) and the Timberjac 1110 skidding machine (forwarder). This made it possible to reduce a certain number of logging crews, without reducing the volume of wood harvesting, and also made it possible to switch from whiplash harvesting to sorting, which in turn made it possible to sort harvested wood by species and grades directly in the cutting area.
In 2006, this logging complex was replaced by a new, more advanced one, consisting of a JOHN DEERE 1270 D harvester and a JOHN DEERE 1110 D forwarder.
Since 2008, the company has been fully harvesting the wood needed to produce the amount of wood in a mechanized manner, using John Deere logging equipment, harvester and forwarder.
In 2010, Vyshnevolotsky Forestry Enterprise JSC was the first in Russia to purchase a John Deere forestry equipment complex with the letter "E" consisting of a John Deere 1270E harvester and a John Deere 1510E forwarder.
Taking care of the environment, the future of our forest resources, and being aware of the responsibility for the preservation of the planet's ecological system, the forestry enterprise does not harvest wood in specially protected areas of the forest fund, as well as in naturally renewable forests that have preserved their natural appearance and have not been exposed to humans.
In 2010, the company received the FSC certificate and annually confirms compliance with the principles of the FSC Convention.
Taking into account the realities of the present time, the forestry enterprise performs a full range of reforestation operations on its own, from collecting seeds of coniferous tree crops to planting forest crops on felled areas and caring for these crops. In addition, in all leased territories, the forestry enterprise carries out the necessary complex of measures to protect forests from fires, for which a forest fire brigade has been created and equipped with the necessary fire-fighting equipment and equipment.
After the harvested wood is removed from the upper warehouse to the territory of the enterprise, it is sorted by species, grades and diameters at the cutting site. The wood harvested in whips arriving at the enterprise is unloaded onto an overpass using a PP-10 and fed to a semi-automatic DO-65 line for bucking and sorting by species, diameters, lengths and purpose. The wood harvested by the mechanized complex and delivered to the enterprise already sorted by species is fed to the automatic log sorting line A.S.SORTI, where the received timber is sorted by diameter and length.
After that, all the high-grade lumber obtained is sent for further processing or for drying in drying chambers, and low-grade lumber of natural moisture is sent to the consumer.
All production waste is processed into technological chips C-1 and C-2 and shipped to pulp mills in Russia.
Having stopped shipping high-quality sawn timber of natural moisture to consumers in 2000, the timber industry acquired and put into operation in 2000 and 2002, respectively, one unit of drying chambers manufactured by Finnish company Tekma Wood.
In 2009, the company acquires and installs drying chambers of the Muhlbock company, which makes it possible to dry all lumber produced by the company.
In these drying chambers, lumber is dried to a transport humidity of 18% or a final humidity of 8-12%, after which it is finally processed into glued structural beams, glued profiled wall beams, planed lumber and other types of woodworking products.
